Neuton CE 5.4 14-Inch 24-Volt Cordless Electric Mulching/Bagging Lawn Mower with Removable Battery Reviews
I have the previous version of this mower, now 8 years old, and it finally died. The original batteries are still going, and I can still trim. We are rather rough on mowers (previous record: 3 years on a gas mower), but until last year, you could get any part to repair it. All mowers will need maintenance, but overall this has been much cheaper to operate and repair. I am ordering this version to replace it, which has been out a few years, and it is mostly the same as mine. Mine is the first version sold.br /br /If you use up all the juice in one battery, just slip another one in. I can mow my small yard and do all the trimming and still have juice left over on one battery. I can mow on Sunday morning and not disturb anyone (you can talk in a low voice and be heard while mowing). You can pick it up with one hand. I mulch my leaves with it. The trimmer is the best one I have ever had.br /br /Like all electric mowers, it requires a certain philosophy to be successfull (the "Prius" thing). I use the entire width and do not overlap rows, leaving a 4" mowhawk. Then I go back and mow that. You cannot walk too fast over the wet or extra thick parts. With this method, it is as fast and as thorough as my last 5 1/2 hp gas mower. You need to keep the batteries charged, but not on the charger all of the time. If you are not willing to make adjustments like this, you will be happier with a gas mower. The 36 volt version is more powerful, and so is a corded electric, but for small yards, this is fine.

Disappointing - amolba - VT
We bought the earlier version of this mower. Quieter, though not silent. The battery does not last well, are expensive to replace and still use electrical power (coal plants). The worst is that the batteries are lead acid, which is very bad for the environment, and Neuton does not offer convenient recycling. A lead acid battery in a landfill is equally as bad or worse for the environment as minimal gas consumption. Consider carefully, this is a very expensive purchase, requiring continual expensive purchases and is not as green as you might think. We gave ours away.
DON'T BUY IT!!! - G. Ibarra-estrada - California
It's JUNK, JUNK, JUNK!!!! Save yourself the heart ache, the frustration and the waste of your money. We bought it a year ago and the lawn mower lasted a month before it broke down. Two months later it broke down again. We've had it a little over a year and it has worked for MAYBE 3 months total, and I'm being generous. Customer service is just as bad as the lawn mower. They sent the wrong part twice. The lawn mower has been down since March. You might as well throw your money in the trash it will save you frustration, instead of buying this piece of junk.
